Check out some of the top websites that sell and give away chord charts and lead sheets for your band, ensemble, praise team, or choir. Many of these offer free charts and leadsheets each month. Some are subscription based. Some are per download based.

Goodworshipmusic.com doesn’t have a large library of songs – however they do have some quality arrangements of modern hymns, jazzy hymns and original songs. You can listen to and vote on your favorite songs as well as upload your own songs and get paid for them. Lead Sheets are only $5.00 and full orchestrations are $29.00.

Praisecharts.com is my favorite place to get charts for our band and praise team.  They have one of the largest selections of music available online. You can purchase single downloads but you can also buy a package that will save you a lot of money if you plan on buying a lot of music over the course of a year. Praisecharts.com also offers mp3’s, click tracks, soundtracks, orchestrations, and even finale files for a lot of their music. And they are constantly updating their database. If you’ve heard the song, there is a very likely chance you will find resources for that song on Praisecharts.com

Musicnotes.com has any song (secular and Christian) you can possibly imagine and multiple arrangements of it, available for download. While this site has all kinds of charts and lead sheets I only recommend getting that “song you can’t find anywhere else” here. One purchase which costs around $5 only gives you the right to print one copy – so it can get expensive if you need charts for several people. Printing charts is also a little cumbersome but with a little patience, you can get the chart you need.

Hymncharts.com is a unique resource that offers contemporary arrangements of hymns. For a subscription you get unlimited access to every arrangement on the site. You can make as many copies as you need for your ministry and distribute mp3s of each song.  They have a large selection of some of the most loved hymns.

Integrity Music offers new songs for coporate worship. Register for their site and you can receive free charts and mp3s of some of the newest songs from Integrity.  This site also has music videos, demonstration videos and song story videos of most of their songs.

Wordmusicnow.com is Word Music’s digital store to purchase charts and lead sheets. Each song is available as a single purchase and there are several package options to buy – depending on if you need music for a praise band, orchestra, vocals etc. They have a large library and add new songs frequently.

Lifewayworship.com is one of the best downloadable lead sheet / chord chart resources available for the money. Their library of songs is large and ever growing and they have multiple resources for each song – charts, tracks, orchestration etc. Each item is inexpensive – $1.99 for a sound track – very hard to beat. One great feature is the ability to purchase only the charts for the instruments you need – no need to purchase the entire orchestration for those three horns you have. Once you purchase something you have access to that item for the life of the account. Lifewayworship.com also gives coupon codes for free downloads – subscribe to Lifeway’s many different departments – magazine, choral club, email, etc. and you’ll get free downloads year round.

Worshiptogether.com offers the newest resources in Christian music. Subscribe to their site and you can get free lead sheets and the occasional free mp3 of some of the newest songs in praise and worship. They partner with MusicNotes to sell their lead sheets and charts. They have an good size library of songs and a very nice search function based on keys, themes, tempo and genre. You can also listen to the full arrangement of each song – not just a 30 second clip. Song stories, artist interviews, videos and a blog make this a quality resource for worship pastors.

SongSelect from CCLI is an excellent place to get lead sheets, chord charts and hymn charts for your church or ministry. This subscription based site is a resource of the large CCLI family.  Their library is one of the largest online (if not the largest) and for under $200 you get unlimited access for a year. One huge advantage SongSelect has over other companies is the ability to change a chart / lead sheet to any key you want. The only drawback to SongSelect is that their charts are very generic – so you have to make quite a few notes to make the arrangement you want.

The Paperless Hymnal is a resource that has hymn-style music put into Powerpoint files so that you can display four part harmony on a screen for an audience – they have a lot of free files as well as packages you can purchase, download and use for your church or ministry.

G3Worship.com used to be a subscription based company – they would mail you worship packs of their new music once a quarter but they are now transitioning to an online / downloadable store. So for a limited time you can get a great deal on their old worship packs. Each pack contains 10 songs and include everything you need to perform the music – tracks, charts, orchestrations, vocal parts, powerpoint etc.  Their new store is still a work in progress but it will be interesting to see the fresh resources they come up with.

Redtiemusic.com is the publishing company of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Their library is small but all of their selections and arrangements are top notch. Standard resources are available for download of each song and they are very reasonably priced. Subscribe to the site and you can receive a free download each month.

Greatworshipsongs.com is a division of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing. They offer lead sheets and chord charts of the newest Praise and Worship songs available. Their products are inexpensive and if you subscribe to their site, you can receive several free downloads each month.

Markcondoniclub.com is a subscription based website where you can download charts, split tracks, media files, mp3’s of voice parts to help teach your singers, unlimited copies of sheet music and training webinars for worship ministry. It’s $11.95 / month or $179 for four years of resources. They add new resources each month and you can cancel anytime.
